For both men and women there is an almost limitless possibility when it comes to arm tattoos in terms of design. Depending on the size of your arm you can go as small or as big as you want. The arms are also easy to cover up if you work in a conservative office.
The size of your arm will dictate how big your arm tattoos are going to be. A big design will not fit on a small arm and may have to be scaled down. Choose carefully as some intricate designs will not look good in a smaller size, as you will lose some of the detail or face the tattoo turning into a colored blob over the years.

The great thing about arm tattoos is that you can choose just about anything to go on your arm and it will look great. You can have a small to medium piece that will sit nicely on the upper part of your arm close to the shoulder. Whatever tickles your fancy can go on this part of the arm. Bands that circle the arm can be very attractive and are quite popular.
Whether it’s a particularly eye catching design or an especially meaningful one, the choice is up to you. If you decide to go with a tattoo that extends past the upper part of the arm then the design you choose is important so that the tattoo looks good on your arm. If you are going with arm tattoos that extend from your upper arm to say the elbow then you want something that flows with your arm.
Snakes and dragons that appear to circle the arm are popular because of how the arm is utilized to show off the tattoo. Tattoos depicting fire and water are also popular designs for the arm as both types of tattoos convey movement. There is a possibility that you may want to later incorporate other tattoos on your arm. If this is your intention then let the artist know beforehand.
As this trend is happening many people think for themselves, well of course. At least that's what I said to myself at first. You can not drive more than 10 minutes on the freeway in Southern California where I was from and did not see the big SUVs like the Lincoln Navigator or Cadillac Escalade and not see the sticker Hawaii. "Well, at first you will be happy right? Course it would be fun for a good home cooked meal if you have been out of the U.S. for a long time. But once you get there you see the place has really tacky and awful reproductions of 50's art and all the food tastes kind of strange. It would probably bee kind of close or resemble what you think about but it will lose something or some key elements. I'm sure it will make you feel a little sad and like your culture is not fully understood.
When we got there it was Elvis with a funny accent playing on the jukebox and when my hamburger came it fried egg on top of it with teriyaki sauce. WOW what a surprise for me. I felt a bit strange being in a place that has tried to create something of my own culture.
