Three years ago today, Tattoosday was born.
On July 31, 2007, I put up a post on BillyBlog, featuring a tattoo on a co-worker named Sephora.
The idea was to post a weekly tattoo on Tuesday, and use this is a vehicle to expand my horizons a bit; meet interesting people and learn about tattoos.
There was one problem. I enjoyed it too much. There weren't enough Tuesdays in the week. I was impatient and wanted to post right away, not wait until Tuesday. And so, as Kurt Vonnegut would say, it goes....
So a month later I threw the previous months post up on the stand-alone blog, Tattoosday. And BillyBlog faded.
It's still there, but Tattoosday is my passion and I couldn't have even imagined, back in 2007, how easy it would become for me to talk to strangers about their ink.
The once-a-week project produced forty-five separate interactions in July, we have a 30-day backlog of material, and this past week we registered our 650,000th hit. Not too shabby.

Definitely Everything You Need to Know About Tribal Tattoo Designs
While some tattoos can be elaborated rituals of authentic works of art, colorful and intricate lines, definitely there are many things you can say in favor of more primitive species known as symbols of tribal tattoos. It was discovered that the idea to tattoo the skin all the way back to the old man. It is believed that it could have been previously performed by humans as a primary method of creating a camouflage themselves the hunted animals do not see them. The evidence of tribal tattoo marks were found in ancient mummies, and a man 5,000 years old, was found frozen in a glacier in Italy.
Tribal tattoos can have a very deep meaning for those who choose to have done. Often used to mark a person as a member of a group, these symbols can cause a feeling of camaraderie that is firm, sealed in blood, you could say. These tattoos can also be trademark status or a rite of passage. Maybe one has dedicated his entire life to a cause or an idea, might just want to have a permanent record in the message body or showing the world who they are and what price. Some people use this art form to make a statement about their philosophies and beliefs, giving your skin with magical symbols that they believe will help them in their course.
There are many different types of tribal tattoos that would be impossible to mention all, but generally consist of a package of basic black, sometimes accentuated by a small amount of color. These symbols can be anything-ray knots in the arm for the Celtic Dragons. Many people even add a more graphically intensive in the middle of what otherwise would have been a pure tribal tattoo. For example, can have a beautiful and complex image of a tiger's face surrounded by the bold dark lines and angles that give the impression of the marks of a warrior. Others have the appearance of fire rising from the middle of her back and spread to both shoulders. The possibilities of these designs are simply endless. How can the imagination is the limit for the number of designs can be achieved and that might mean for the person who leads.
Tribal tattoos are very popular among celebrities these days too. Most celebrities have tattoos that have at least some sort of symbolism involved in a flat or more of the arts of your body. Some people with tribal tattoos include Mike Tyson, who has a tribal couple next to her face, Pamela Anderson, who has to back down, Boy George, who is there with a G-neck and Sandra Bullock, who has a tribal heart just below the hip.
